Concours d’Elegance at Copshaholm

Concours d’Elegance is French for “competition of beauty.” The term dates back to the days of the ancient regime in 17th century France when aristocrats would parade their carriages through the parks of Paris. Its first application to an automotive event was in 1929 for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Lake Como in Italy, where well-heeled owners displayed their fine objects and automotive and body manufacturers connected with their prospective clients.
The Concours d’Elegance at Copshaholm has five award categories. The most coveted award is the Best of Show, chosen from the Best in Class and Premier winners. Premier Awards focus upon specific aspects of a motor car, such as interior design or engineering excellence. Champion Awards are presented to vehicles of special distinction. To encourage the next generation to see the historic value of motor cars, children will participate in the Junior Judging class. The People’s Choice Award is selected by the popular vote of Concours visitors.

JUNIOR JUDGING

Designed for kids aged 6-14, Junior Judging offers an immersive experience where participants dive into the world of classic automobiles. They'll get up close and personal with select cars from our show, have the thrilling chance to judge 4-5 vehicles, and even present a prize to their favorite car.
